About: I'm the publisher and blogger of CitizenSci.com (and CritterGeek.com, a site about animals). In my day job, I work for MAKE Magazine.

My favorite moment doing citizen science was on hawk hill, towards the end of a long day, when a red-tailed hawk decided to kite right above us. As if that weren't enough, a second red-tailed floated in right next to it and also hung in the air, looking down on us as if making their own count. I looked at the hawks, and at the hawk watchers watching them, and caught Steve's eye and smiled...magic.

What citizen science projects you participate in? Golden Gate Raptor Observatory Hawk Watch, Bay Area Raptor Nest Surveys, eBird, Christmas Bird Count, Birdhouse Network, Citizen Weather Observer Project, and others.
What do you think is the biggest issue or concern related to citizen science? Getting visibility for the science people are doing and exposing good phenology data and actually affect policy related to climate change.
Are you an attendee of Cornell's Citizen Science Toolkit Conference in June 2007? Yes
Just for fun - what are your other hobbies and interests? birding, writing, art, dog training, hiking, zen

I'm having a new logo created for CitizenSci.com and I've used the first version here. I'm getting a revised version that's somewhat based on this, so that will be updating soon. What do you think of it?
